About the calendar

Words we use

Liturgical season

The Church year moves through seasons: Advent, Christmas, Lent, the Paschal Triduum, Easter and Ordinary Time. The 2027 Journey follows the Catholic liturgical calendar, and the year bar shows each season in its own colour.

Ordinary Time

The weeks of the Church year outside the main seasons. In 2027: 11 January – 9 February and 17 May – 27 November.

Evening Examen

A short evening prayer from the Ignatian tradition for looking back over the day with God. LuminaPath offers it to people who choose the Catholic tradition; everyone else sees an Evening Reflection.
